After an interview with KQ2 it was a day full of speaking engagements at Bode, Spring Garden, Truman, and Ribidoux middle schools in St. Joseph. Andrea had the pleasure of sharing her message of the importance of living an active lifestyle and the Women's Sports Foundation. The next day she took part in the Apple Blossom Celebration!http://www.appleblossomparade.com/abhistory.html One of the things she will remember most from the weekend is meeting a student named Cane form Spring Garden who broke the district record in the mile the day before she arrived. He ran a 4:38 min mile!!! Incredible, especially for an 8th grader!!

Mrs Missouri had the honor of being the keynote speaker at the University of Missouri Women's Soccer Awards dinner April 18th. They are currently ranked 10th in the nation and had a phenomenal season capturing the Big 12 Championship. Coach Bryan Blitz (seen in the photo with Andrea) just signed a five year extension to his contract. The Women's Sports Foundation's hard work and support of Title IX is evident in the success of the Tiger program.
